Women's cellular health

Harnessing the Hippo–YAP pathway for women's health

We are developing therapeutics that target the Hippo/YAP signaling pathway — a central regulator of the female reproductive tract — for gynecological cancers and fertility preservation.

One pathway, three diseases

A shared driver across the reproductive tract

The Hippo/YAP pathway controls how cells grow, survive, and respond to their surroundings. In the ovary, fallopian tube, and cervix, its disruption can drive cancer — while healthy YAP signaling is essential for normal follicle development.

That makes it a single biological lever with several therapeutic applications, which we are pursuing in three programs.

Where our three programs act
A context-dependent target

The same protein, two opposite roles

YAP drives tumor growth in gynecological cancers, yet is essential for healthy follicles in the ovary. Our approach is designed around this duality.

Inhibit

In cancer

Hyperactive nuclear YAP drives proliferation and survival of ovarian and cervical cancer cells. Our cancer programs aim to switch it off.

Restore

In the healthy ovary

Timely YAP activity in granulosa cells supports follicle development. Our fertility program aims to restore physiological signaling.
